Banquet

This has been another amazing season for Palmetto Baseball. The Varsity appeared in the Regional Playoffs for a third straight year and was a regional semifinalist. The JV and Freshman teams showed us that the Palmetto Baseball tradition will continue and the future is brilliant. The JV went 7-3-2. The Freshman went 11-5.

We will be celebrating these successes and saying goodbye to our Senior ballplayers at the Baseball Banquet which will take place at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, June 4th at Rusty Pelican. Invitations will be in the mail in the next couple of days. The deadline to RSVP is May 20th. We are unable to sell tickets at the door on the day of the banquet and need to get a head count. The players are free and family members and friends are $30. We are also selling a DVD for $20 that features all the players and all the teams.

On behalf of the Booster Club, we are looking forward to celebrating this season and hope that you will be there with us.

The pictures in the folder entitled “200803 Sarasota” are from the Varsity’s trip to Sarasota. “200802 Panthers” and “200801 Panthers” are photos of the Varsity and JV. “200802 Blue White” is from the Blue White game and all age groups are represented.

If anyone wants to use the photos for the yearbook or for other purposes, let Carlos Halasz know and he will burn the original high definition files for you (for free).

SUMMER FRESHMAN TEAM TRYOUTS, MAY 21-23!

Tryouts for the Summer Freshman Team (8th graders going into 9th grade at Palmetto High School this fall) will be held at Panther Field at Coral Reef Park on May 21, 22 and 23. Tryouts will begin promptly at 4:30 each day.
